The Hotel Cappuccini Convento in Amalfi is located in the
premises of the monastery built in the XII century around the
old existing consecrated Chapel of Arabic-Norman style, lately
turned into a meeting-center, is the heart of the edifice which
seems hanging from the blue sky on the green sea. The Hotel
Cappuccini Convento, one of "Locali storici d'Italia"
was opened in 1821. The terrace of the monastery is famous for
the gorgeous view it offers and its panorama is undoubtedly one
of the most portrayed in the world. Fifty rooms and two suites,
equipped with all comforts, plunged into the green and quiet of
a large park, have been made out the ancient friars' cells
faithfully restored to their original structure. The adjoining
solarium and a private small beach complete the facilities of
the Hotel Cappuccini Convento.
